Hello. My name is Michael Gillman and I'm a Raleigh, NC based photographer who loves to travel. I bought my first DSLR back in 2008 and it changed my life forever.

Over the years, I've photographed various landscapes, musicians, multicultural weddings, events, and portraits all across the US and Europe. I also love creating pop-culture film and television themed photo projects.

Photography has taken me places I've never dreamed of being. From hanging out backstage with the likes of Ringo Starr, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and John Cleese, shooting as house photographer for one of the top 5 theater venues in the nation, crawling through swamps in the Scottish Highlands, to working on personal photo projects in Warner Brothers Studio London. I'm very grateful for these opportunities and want to keep building upon them.

My work can be found on several websites including ET Online, The Smithsonian Institute's digital History of Rock and Roll archives, and several local magazines as well as national music publications such as Pollstar.

I've got a lot more travel and projects in the works. I can't wait to see, explore, and photograph new landscapes, meet new people, and take on new challenges both here and abroad.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
